This workshop is a practical comparison of scripting languages and their usage mainly for Linux administrators. It describes elegant solutions of some everyday admin tasks in bash and Python. Somethings are very simple in bash, but in Python they need more lines of code.
This workshop was presented at LinuxDays 2014. I found out through an audience vote that there were many more bash users interested in using Python than vice versa. The workshop is a two hour presentation for intermediate users. There are tables comparing syntax and some notes, so you can use them to easily refresh your memory later.
